The Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT) is one of the oldest private Portuguese higher education institutions, with over eight decades of existence (having started its activities in 1937). It is part of the national network of Portuguese higher education and recognized as a public utility. Its mission is to create, transmit, and disseminate culture and science, as well as to promote the conditions for research, always with a perspective of individual and community development.

ISMT is within the scope of private and cooperative higher education and is also an accredited training entity.

We offer a comprehensive and attractive range of courses (undergraduate, postgraduate, master's, specialization courses, etc.) that allows our students to interact with the job market, both through multiple partnerships and internships.
