What’s in for the Erasmus?

Erasmus in Schools is a nationwide project aimed for all Erasmus Students interested in visiting nearby schools during their stay in Portugal. It is a great way to make the most out of their exchange period by getting to know the Portuguese culture and schooling system a bit better. The main goal is for them to talk about their exchange period and to try to encourage Portuguese students to go study abroad too. Besides that, they also have the opportunity to present/promote their countries and culture. It is also a good way for them to practice their communication as well as foreign language skills.

What’s in for the Portuguese students?

By receiving foreign students in their class, the Portuguese students have a chance to get to know people from other countries and interact with them, which for some students may be the first time. So, it is a great way for them to practice their English language skills, since all the sessions are in English. Also, it is a good opportunity to get to know more about some countries in Europe and their cultural differences. Besides this, in the sessions they will also get familiar with the existing exchange programs and how to apply to them. During the entire time the students and the Erasmus have the back-up support and help of ESN members and our partner "Education first".
